Africa Bridge!

April16

Jambo!( Hi) I am going to tell you about a program called Africa Bridge. It is where you read to make money for kids in Tanzania. Last year we made 350 desks! Other ways my school makes money is we  have Pizza and Jamba Juice. We have been working on this program for a while, and the whole school was overjoyed to know that Stafford Primary School can change lives! Now this year, we are writing Friendship Letters to show we care! In return Pakati Primary School and Katusyo Primary School sent us videos to show how they care. I’m very happy I can change lives!

Spring Couplets!

April2

My class is writing spring couplets. We start with writing in our composition books. Then we read it to a friend. After we read it to a friend we get the couplets approved. I thought doing this was really fun. I can’t wait to do more couplets through  the year. Here is my spring couplet.

Spring is fun,

Spring is sunny,

Spring is a good time for a little

National Day Of Happiness!

March20

My school is celebrating National day of happiness. It is a holiday when you celebrate being happy. I think everyone should be happy. To celebrate my class did chalk art outside. We also sang a song at the school assembly. The last thing that we did was a surprise dance party. My favorite part was doing the surprise dance party. I love being happy! I can’t wait to do it next year. I hope you get to do something like we did!

St. Patrick’s Day!

March12

St.  Patrick’s Day is coming and I am so happy! Every year I get things to get ready. Last year I made things to put in my doll house like green pillows and drapes. I think that doing fun things to prepare are really fun! I even set out some food last year for the little green men in bowler hats and they still would not eat it. I am so happy to do things like this every year. Do you like St. Patrick’s Day?

Canada

March4

I have been very happy since I found out I was going to Canada for spring break. I couldn’t wait till we would go. I had a face time call at school. The class  that we face timed was in Canada. I told them about it and they were really happy. We are staying at a fancy hotel called the Evolution and another hotel called L’hermitage. My family will go skiing too. I am really happy to go because I have never been to Canada. If you have been to Canada I would be so happy for you to tell me all about it.

The Olympics!

February17

In school we are talking about the Olympics. I loved learning about the Olympics! I love the Olympics because of all the great people doing their best. I really like Gracie Gold, Meryl Davis and Charlie White. Every night I watch the Olympics. I think that even if they win or lose I would still think that they do their best. I hope that one day I will be in the Olympics. The Olympics is my favorite part in the month of February. Who do you like in the Olympics?

Snow Day!

February12

Last week I had a snow day! It all started as an early release school day on Thursday February 6, 2014.  Instead of getting out of school at 2:10, we got out at 12:10, just as the snowflakes began to fall!  The school did this because they wanted us home before a bunch of snow came.  First it came down just a little.  But the next day we had no school again because it snowed even more, and kept on going.  I spent the next four wonderful days sledding and drinking hot cocoa.  In our part of Oregon, near Portland, snow is really special because we don’t get it a bunch.  Is snow special to you? The 2014 Superbowl

February4

The Superbowl was a football game last Sunday, February 2nd, where two teams played to be champions.  The two teams that played were the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos.  Lots of families watched the Superbowl. I was wanting the Seahawks to win, but no matter what team won, I would still be happy! I went to my Aunty’s house to watch the game and play with my cousins.  They had snacks and a big pot of spicy chilli.  At half time I went outside to play with my cousins.  We ran around!  At the end of the game the best part was when my Uncle Chris went to buy us milkshakes.  I got a vanilla one – YUM!

Frozen!

December17

I went to see the new movie Frozen on Saturday. It was amazing! Frozen is all about a person named Anna and her older sister Elsa. Elsa has ice power but Anna is just a regular girl. The story is a great adventure and Anna has to go search for her sister in the mountains.  She meets great characters along the way. I want to tell you more, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. I give it 5 out of 5 stars! It’s a must see!
